FAQ: How can we bend strips ?

Bending is needed for the hull planking and certain parts like breakwaters.
This bending is done with a plank bender, or with an iron which is held better and warms faster.
Bend by small steps by leaning on a jig.
Dip the strip one moment into water before applying the iron.
The iron transforms the water into steam which enters into the wood and facilitates the bending.
