FAQ: How to profile a mast or a yard ?

1. Make a groove in a block to hold firmly the strip to be tapered thinly.
2 & 3. For the tapering, use a small plane or a cutter. A sanding block with paper n° 100 is also helpful.
4. Always mark the centre of the strip before tapering it. If an arm is placed at the end of a yard, drill its place before tapering the yard.
