FAQ: Sails furled or displayed ?

Both can be combined. The furled lower sails have the advantage of not hiding the decks and their details.
Illustrations show vessels of lines on fight having their lower sails furled.
For a static model, thus alongside the quay, all furled sails can be acceptable.
But displayed sails give the ship all her dimension.
